Local Somerset Ciders, Local Ales, Fine Wines and Conviviality

The considerable experience of Andrew and Kelly is much in evidence in the wine list. They have created an excellent list that:

There are even some fun labels. For instance, Miss Harry GSM and Cycling Gladiators are both well worth a try.

'We think these wines represent the very best from France, Italy and Spain at realistic prices. We have taken great care in choosing each wine and want to pass on to you the pleasure we have derived in creating this list.'
Andrew Chantrell.

The bar is one of the popular features of the brue. This is where locals and visitors mix and debate the issues of the day with Andrew who dispenses only local ales and ciders. For instance, there's a classic dry cider from Thatchers and a superb Somerset farm-pressed table cider, The Orchard Pig, from just down the road.

Then there's Kelly's Coffee Heaven. This was created by Kelly herself and is her favourite desert: Lovington's vanilla ice cream, double espresso and your favourite liqueur. There's always quite a stir in the restaurant when someone orders this.

Real ales, local ciders, happy faces, good food, fresh tea, sticky pud's, comfy rooms, great wines, friendly people...
